Newcastle got the penalties again yesterday, 9 to 5 in their favour. That essentially is 2 to 1 . They received 7 penalties to 0 in the second half last week against the Storm. Newcastle won both games--surprise, surprise! This week they play away. It will be most interesting if the penalties favour them or the home team. If the penalties go against Newcastle it will be interesting to see if they can win that game. I said a week or two ago that the Eels should forfeit the game against Newcastle because of the biased refereeing in favour of Newcastle at Newcastle. We have no chance of winning up there and should not try unless their ex sharks players are outed for that game re ASADA drugs investigation. Might have a chance then. Might not too.

Thats true Paul. And when the penalties will go against you there is no hope.
Is there a conflict of interest here...
Hopefully the players don't enter the game with this sort of mindset.
That Bulldogs game left me wanting to give up on the NRL. I love Parramatta so much, but the National Rugby League on a whole are disgusting. We consistently get screwed over, whether it be the blocking of Israel Folau's return to the game, or the referees FUCKING US OVER TIME AFTER TIME, we're getting screwed. I'm just hoping this sort of thing swings, maybe when we've established ourselves as a decent side for a year or 2, things will even out.
This was a bit of a mindless rant, but I'm just really upset. The devastation we all felt at the ground on Friday night was unparalleled over the last few years. In a way, I'm grateful for these feelings. The fact that we're close enough to a finals berth to be this passionate, enraged and devastated is brilliant.
1 week at a time. I really like our chances against Manly this week.
