    Hes played alot of rep footy and its come at a cost of his club footy. 

    Hes over 30 and has had reports success now its time to finish his career with club success

    BLUEY. the side has not been picked yet, the GF will have some influence on selections.

    This side that has been referenced as someone's pick. i think it came through SEN yesterday.

    You may remember i mentioned the possibility of MM not being picked, the logistics don't work in the make up of the halves. i am surprised that Strange was picked as well as he is unlikely to play with Cleary and Munster as the halves and the Cowboys half (Dearden} being able to play both positions.

    Every player looks/should do,  to obtain the highest honour of national selection. The people on here have no respect for the game or the players with the attitude of surrendering their aspirations for 'club' football. Many on here call the players selfish (pot&kettle), I think that these players that make National representation have every right to be excited about playing for their Country.

    Mitch is unlucky in that the ball has not bounced his way this time. If Cleary was not in the side, then Mitch would be first half selected. As it stands now he would probably not get a game unless an injury happened. They still may select him in that role anyway......he is not a natural 5/8 these days, so he has one position he can play as a test player. 

    Finally on a different note Grant as the hooker he will run the game and all the ball will go to Munster, so in some ways if I was Mitch (notwithstanding the prestige) I would be comfortable to not to go and play outside of Grant & Munster. Its no coincidence that Cleary does not excel at rep level, he doesn't have his hooker giving him the ball at origin level and he has no chance at National level with Grant there.

    These selfish things have been happening at rep level for ages, that's why the best reps sides, NSW and Aust anyway are dominated by player clicks in key positions. Think back to Cameron Smith.

    Lets see who is in the final side come Sunday night. The last Kangaroo Tour was 2003 (I think) and this tour and the way it has been rushed is not going to create iconic type improvements in players, that they have done in the past.

      Just to add something else in review of that post. 

      You people may have noticed that in the first Origin Game this year with Cleary at half and Mitch at 5/8 that Cleary basically ignored Mitch being on the field. in the second Origin game with MM out through injury Luai came in and Cleary threw every first receiver pass to Luai.

      Dont think it doesn't happen. I believe MM lost any respect he had for Cleary after that first game. Can't knock Cleary as a player, one of the GOATS but I always thought he was an asshole. 

      Lets hope it toughen's Mitch up, i got the impression when he came back late this year that he may have reflected on some of this shit!

  What a joke. Mitch is clearly the 2nd best halfback in the game.
