hayne waisted

i think hayne might be better off up in the centres or halves so he can organise and set up a lot more tries than he can hanging around the back waiting for something to happen just watch the roosters or tigers there main play makers are all in these posistions

  • nah he would be wasted in the centres. At fullback he takes advantage of his ball running skills as well as his ball playing skills.
The only natural transition is from FB to FE.
Though I had never though about him playing lock. It would take him like a full season to adjust but i agree he would do really well at lock.
  • I heard Hayne is to be trialled at dummy half next year.

Closer to the action and will not give the D a chance to shut him down before he is through the line.
  • wonder how he would go?
  • I am getting tired of using Hayne as some solution.
I thought everyone wanted us to stop relying on jarryd hayne.
Instead of building a great side with multiple options in attack we are jus putting hayne in as many positions as possible.
  • Hayne will play crap anywhere else other than wing/fullback
  • It'd be interesting to see how a move to dummy half would pan out for Hayne.
Wouldn't be a bad option by any means, that's for sure.

Also, to the opening post, Hayne's already been tried in the centres early in his career, and that didn't work, hence why he moved straight to the wing after a few games, and went on that try-scoring marathon in his first couple of years.
  • hayne is fine at fullback all we need is a halfback,
  • hayne should play at fullback for the first 30 then move to lock for the last 10. he would create havoc in the ruck
  • I thought you we referring to him being drunk aka wasted, lol.
  • As did I

"Interesting take on Hopgood there LB.
Apart from handling errors, i thought he had been going fine. This year he is supposedly on $320K of the salary cap, and is playing every week. I'm more concerned about say Matterson on $650k or Paulo on $950k,…"
