Hayne. SHOCKED ARE WE?

Last reports were Hayne had to front the NRL Integrity unit before he was cleared to sign a contract with Parramatta. { Bit of an oxymoron, NRL and Integrity used together.}

Hayne, "Parramatta is always going to be my 1ST CHOICE"

but there is always choice number 2.

Now for what hasn't been said but we all know.

Hayne, at a guess from what the hounds of the NRL in the press have said, "responsible for about 50% of the TPA'S at Parra over the last 6 years".

Funny how his involvement in Parra's TPA's is no longer a problem for him to sign with the Titans.

And how about him signing for a NRL owned club?

Wow Todd, who would have guessed and how good is that going to make you look?

My personal response to this betrayal and deception from the NRL

1] Cancel foxtel sports, would cancel the lot but it keeps the mother inlaw in her granny flat.

2]Never buy News Limited products again.

3]Never watch channel 9 again. Except for Parra games.

4] Rip NRL logos off all merchandise I have and not buy anything the NRL gets revenue from.

5] Only go to Parra Home games, unfortunately that will include Homebush next year.

6] Buy nothing or use anything from any of the NRL sponsors.

This might seem petty, but there is nothing else I can do. Until the NRL is purged from this filth and the head schmuck is long gone, I will not support a bias crooked regime.

Jarryd Hayne signs for Gold Coast Titans in NRL, available to play Sunday

    Updated 4 minutes ago

Serial code-hopper Jarryd Hayne has spoken of his deep disappointment at not receiving an offer from the Parramatta Eels upon the announcement he has signed for the Gold Coast Titans for two years.

Chief executive of the Titans, Graham Annesley, said Hayne had signed on for two years, and would be available to play this weekend.

The Parramatta product said he was sad he could not go back to "the club I loved as a kid".

"Not in my wildest dreams I ever thought I would be up on the Gold Coast," he said.

The 28 year old said he had been waiting for an offer from his former club, the Parramatta Eels, but none eventuated.

"It's tough, because you know, there was a few clubs that had offered and straightaway. I always wanted to go back to Parra.

"I was waiting, I was waiting, I was waiting, it got to a point where I was having lunch with Timmy, I said 'what's going on? Are you going to offer me a contract or not? I haven't heard from you'.

"It was a tough decision emotionally, but deep down it was the right one.

"It's been a great journey the last 18 months and I wouldn't change it for the world, but it's nice to be settled."

Hayne could line up for Titans on Sunday

Annesley said despite the deal having only been finalised Tuesday night, Hayne would be available for selection for the Gold Coast's match against the Warriors at Robina on Sunday.

"The deal wasn't agreed upon until close to 10 o'clock last night," Annesley said.

"Not only has Jarryd agreed to terms for the next two years but also agreed to make himself available to play for the Titans for the remainder of the 2016 season. So Jarryd will be available to play on Sunday against the Warriors."

Titans coach Graham Henry said the new recruit would play depending on his physical condition.

"We expect he could take his place this weekend, subject to how he is feeling about," Henry said.

"His training and how many minutes and what position we can look at with respect to the guys doing the job there at the moment.

"If he's right to go, he's right to go."

After quitting the Parramatta Eels in 2014, Hayne travelled to the United States and was chosen to play in the American NFL for the San Francisco 49ers.

He played eight games in his first season with the 49ers, but struggled at times on the field in coming to terms with the new game, making a number of fumbles.

The team cut Hayne last October, putting him on its practice squad, before bringing him back for the second last game of the season against Detroit.

In May, he announced he was quitting the NFL to seek Olympic rugby sevens selection for Fiji.

But he learned last month that he had not been chosen for the Fijian squad.

Hayne held talks last month with Australian Rugby Union chief executive Bill Pulver and was understood to be exploring the option of playing Super Rugby with the New South Wales Waratahs.

However, because he played for Fiji in London, he would not have been eligible to play for the Wallabies.

The NRL said last month it would consider registering Hayne for the rest of the season if he were to sign with the Eels.

Coryn Hughes rejoice as Parramatta have signed Union convert Dru Faletolu from Wellington College. He was a part of the Melbourne Rebels and Hurricans junior systems. He plays as a Flanker or No.8 in Union so not sure where exactly he would fit in…
