Hayne's Still the Key to the Eels

Many thought that Sandow would become the attacking centre of Parramatta but it is still evident that Hayne is Parramatta's attacking centre. Hayne has played a total of just over 15 minutes this season and yet in that time Parramatta has scored 2 tries. When he was on the field Parramatta's attack was very dangerous. The backline movements were smooth and quick as evident in the first try with a slick backline movement and final pass by Ben Roberts. Hayne then showed up unexpectedly to deliver the final pass for Parramatta's second try and was becoming a menace to the Warriors purely through his presence. When he scooped up a kick from the Warriors and began to accelerate the crowd was anticipating a 90 metre effort from the Hayne Plane until he fell to the ground clutching at his knee. Once Hayne went off though the Eels' attack broke down. The quick plays disappeared and the Warriors defence seemed more comfortable with the likes of Sandow and Roberts minus Hayne. The Eels scored several more tries after he went off but they didn't seem themselves as the game went on. It's clear that with Hayne fit that the Eels seem more dangerous and hopefully he'll be ready to play next round.

  • Very true, Hayne set up the second try and he would of done more damage if he played the full match!!

  • put Hayne and Hindy in that side and we would have thrashed them...........the Warriors were ordinary....that final score said nothing, they had a full strength side..........

give us Hindy and Hayne and I'll pick a fight with any team!!!!

    PARRAMATTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I can pretty much guarantee Locke wouldn't have scored his try. Hindy would've been in that chasing group and tackled him as soon as he got the ball. We are yet to play a game with a full strength team and we will be a threat with the team at full strength.

  • Here is the key to our season:

Get over our injury woes and play one core team (18 - 20 people) across the next 10 - 12 rounds.
Play as a unit, for each other and always communicate no matter who you are on the park.
Start games well and build that intensity into a match winning lead and finish the game as strong as you started.
I can ensure you if we have Hayne fit and floating either side of the park supporting Sandow, Roberts and Maitua we will make the 8 behind the forward pack we have.
  • Hindy is the key to our season player wise, if Hayne is on the park supporting our halves who finally looked composed - we need our fearless leader reading the game in defence to ensure the difference in what we score and what we let in does not get out of hand.
