"Thanks Randy, that's heaps better."
"Blore is average. We are top heavy for forwards, very light on in the backs, now you want to get rid of two backs for an average forward. I'm glad Mon is part of the recruitment team, and not you."
"What makes you say that, and is that a good thing or a bad thing"

swerved a different direction each time too
Hayne's ability to make opposition get in each other's way and make them look like idiots.
To be honest, I'm a little bit worried that on a number of occasions it has demonstrated he has lost faith in his team mates not to drop the ball.
On some of his tries, he has definitely been justified in trying to beat the fullback but there were a couple where he had an unmarked support player but he decided to beat the fullback anyway.
So far it hasn't backfired but I hope he doesn't get a false confidence about it, and not throw the pass to the support player in a big game and he gets caught.
I think thats just his confidence atm Phil, i dont think it demonstrates he has lost confidence in anybody, just think he knows he can do it and he is riding high on form when he has been on this year.
Slater does very similar stuff.
I reckon most occasions he has looked for support and there has been defenders in the way or the the pass was going to be a tricky angle and weighed up the calculated risk factor in each option. Most times this year when anyone makes clean line breaks I have not seen a clear support player in great position for an easy pass. So I am not worried at all. I just think his ability to make a decision in the critical moments is coming of age. All year we have struggled to get support players running through in good position when a break is made and that worries me more than Hayne being in top form.
If the pass is not definitely on and not only bomb a try but you loose the ball that is far worse than being tackled and getting to play the ball with a retreating defence. How often have you seen us bomb trys earlier in the year by throwing a ridiculous pass and then hand ball over and completely let the opposition off the hook.
Next week he'll make Brisbane thinks twice about signing Milford.
One, Hayne's pass selection is generally excellent, so why not question his pass selection in traffic but question it in broken field running?
Two, something not being mentioned is the work his support runners are doing. Case in point is Sandow running a defensive line to make cover tacklers go around him to try to get to Hayne (comical instance being the Knights game where Mason shoved Sandow). But Hoppa does it too.
Overall, it seems more likely BA has given Hayne a license to run hayne run and instructed support runners to be thinking about running lines that make it tough to get to Hayne. This is a smart move because Hayne is so dangerous in space. It's no coincidence Hayne has bagged a few doubles and long range tries with such tactics. Hayne needs just that little bit of space more than he needs a support player to pass to.
