I was at the game yesterday and it gave me goosebumps when Hayne really started to fire in the second half, that killer look in his eye was back and the crowd was lifted and brought into the game.
I really think for the first time this year our forwards dominated and had the opposition back tracking and this is why Hayne got a bit more room than any other time this year. He had the ball when the opposition defence was retreating and he was hence able to make more half breaks and he ran with more vigour (with his goose step). This also goes for D Mortimer, in the first half was absolutely dominated and in the 2nd half he was making half breaks and proving to be more of a headache for souths.
I also noticed our forwards running in 2's and 3's instead of one up and i think Poore is starting to adapt to our style of play alot better.
Hopefully our forwards can continue to play as a pack and give the likes of Hayne and Mortimer more room to move and we see them at their best.

Gotta say though, that DM looked a little lost in the first half when he was trying to play at the line.
I loved Joey John's comment when Burgess polaxed DM in the first half, "this might sound funny, but a big hit like that can help your confidence" or something to that effect. Maybe he means that it can't get any worse after your ribs have been driven into your lungs and your spine is protruding from your back! :-)
