The Parramatta Eels absolutely have to beat the St. George Illawarra Dragons this week—no excuses. With their season on the line, a win is crucial to staying in the finals race and proving they’re still a force in 2024. This game isn’t just about points; it’s about pride, momentum, and showing the fans they won’t roll over. Dropping this one would be a massive setback, but a win could reignite their season and set the tone for a strong push forward.
What makes this match even bigger is that the next two games are very winnable, giving the Eels a golden opportunity to build a three-game streak and climb the ladder. With clashes against teams they should beat, a victory over the Dragons could be the spark that launches their season back on track. It’s do or die—time to step up.
Also where is everyone drinking before the game I at least want 6 under my belt hahha

Dragons into raiders Aand then west tigers then a bye its possible if this bloody attack can clock
Do yourself a favour and get any ideas of finals out of your mind. It ain't happening this year. Probably not for a few years. Even if the Eels manage a win this week.
i can always dream
Nobody's thinking about finals, we're thinking about the spoon.
I put $100 on us for the spoon after Round 2. Paying $5
I'm disgusted in you Muttman.
Now are you sharing the windfall with the 1EE brethren. hahahaha
Finals are gone, but what we can do is set ourselves up for 2026 as much as possible. A lot of kids playing, what will help their development? A win. Dragons, Raiders and Tigers are winnable. But only if we beat Dragons. I feel they are there for the taking, particularly after beating Melbourne. Had they lost they would be as desperate as us.
If there is a game that is winnable it is St. George. If you asked people after Moses injury who do we beat in first 7 rounds. Everyone would have said Wests and St. George.
I admire your optimism. In saying that, Dragons red lined last week to beat the Storm, so are very beatable this week. We saw how flat both Storm and the Riff were after they played each other, I expect the same from the Dragoons. Gutho might be up for a big one against his old club though.
They came out and said they want to do it for Gutho, but you are right they would have went extra to beat Melbourne. They could beat us in 2nd gear but back at home and Lomax against Dragons too, who knows.
Who would you back LB - Lomax vs Dragons or Gutho vs Eels?
As much as I hate to say it, I'd say Guth would want to rub it in.
