it goes to show why both these teams are making big recruitment drives this off season. the independant comission will be busy as soon as they come in. i'm concerned it is big players ( origin players) involved.
The last 15 years has been a disgrace, super league, Bulldogs rorting the cap, Storm rorting the cap, betting scandal and bad behaviour off field by many players. No doubt money ruins sport!
On the betting scandal subject what are the rumours - what was the underworld betting on?
But you would think that that given a certain player for a certain team is under more scrutiny, that the team playing said team would have been unaware of it.
Said players from the opposition team that received the penalty, said they knew no such events had taken place, so I think that distances them from the incident itself.
Then again, anything is possible, and it seems to be more than just one game as well, so I guess we'll have to see what the final verdict is from the NRL, and how they deal with the problem.
That would suck! Big time. It should be dealt with now, not after the finals series. If the players are in the last 6 sides reminaing, then bad luck. Their life ban should start straight away and they should not be able to play.
The NRL are worried about the bad press and think that it should be dealt with after the finals series. It would not take anything away from the finals series, if anything more people would watch to see how these teams perform without certain players, IF any are involved.
I am hoping and praying with all my heart that the Parramatta Club or any of it's players are not involved in anything to do with this. I have been such a loyal and proud supporter for the past 20 years, there has hardly been anything negative worth remembering about Parramatta or it's players. The biggest thing I can remember recently is one of the Club managers leaving woolies without paying for his groceries!!! hardly a scandal.....
If that is the case, then worst case scenario for the team would be stripped of their premiership, thus we'll no recognised winner in the NRL for the last two years.
Worst case scenario for player/s is that they're banned for life.
I agree though, that it'll be a complete farce if there are players involved who end up going on to win the premiership.
must not be players involved in the finals or they would have to do something about it now.
No ideas but big name players says MG.
hope no eels involved.

SOME PLAYERS WILL BE VERY VERY NERVOUS
THE WHOLE GAME WILL CHANGE
INCLUDING WHO PLAYS FOR WHO.
