In my time, as a member of the site (closing in on a decade now) Jake takes the cake.
Joseph Paulo, Vai Toutai, Luke Kelly and co, all had their time constantly under the spotlight, but I have never seen a player nor his selection so scrutinised, debated and loathed as much as this one.
Mark O'Neil needs to make a call to Royce Simmons for his honest opinion, maybe JA would be better served following in dads footsteps, and become the captain coach of Batesman Bay in 2023 and go down the coaching pathway.
I watched BA play as junior, and at Parramatta and Penrith in the U21's systems, and he was light years ahead of JA's ability, but told at 21 years old he would never make it.

At the end of the season I pulled him in,'' Simmons recalled. ''He was a very intelligent player, he knew how to stick to game plans and how to play. But he wasn't very big at all - he was lucky to be 80 kilograms, and he wasn't overly quick. I thought it was better to tell the kid when he was young.''
What Simmons told Arthur was that, for all his determination, he was unlikely to make the transition from reserve to first grade. So he put a clipboard in Arthur's hand, gave him some drills and a glowing reference, and tipped him into a coaching job at the Batemans Bay Tigers.
Where's this article?
You're forgetting Tim Manah and Peni Terepo. They got a decent run in the day. Ken Sio was another.
You did well to remember Vai Toutai. No chance I'd remember him without a google search.
Answer though, no. JA rims the lot of them for blog space.
Penis Hands! How did I forget him!?
I was a lurker for so long but when I saw everyone having so much fun with the crab I had to get on .I got someone to help me enrol to 1eyed eel and as you all know I havnt looked back
Never, never have i seen a coach so blatantly put his son infront of the team, its unchartered waters and a complete disgrace to fairness and whats right.
Its unbelievable our CEO and board have sat back and not pulled rank and stopped it.
The only word is diabolical.
BA betta win the comp this year, if he doesnt he's going to be the most hated man in the history of the club.
Ive already labelled him the most toxic person to ever be involved with the club, he's making a complete mockery of the word team.
LOL come on Snake, BA doesn't even make the Top 10 of most toxic people we've had at the club. Remember those clowns who kept us languishing at the bottom of the ladder whilst they rigged club elections with fake members and family?
BA makes some baffling decisions, and Jake in first grade is up there with the best of them, but his influence on the club has still been a net positive (although I agree he's getting dangerously close to overstaying his welcome and tarnishing his legacy).
Yep just finished watching that part now.
Good to see both Carroll and Elias call this bullshit out. We need a stronger bench vs the Raiders and carrying these two, JA and Maka won't cut it. I fear we might get rolled again in week two ...
Interestingly, you'd think as Elias is related to Moses that Moses himself would most likely harbour the same feelings as his uncle. He might not speak out for fear of reprisals, like the majority of the NRL and his team mates. Uncle Benny coming out to push this on the biggest footy show on fox is a big deal IMO....
the defence would like to call forward Scott and Ben Anderson your honour.
BA has managed to fully justify Fong calling him a Bushcoach and also succeeded in making his son the most hated player in history.
BA has simultaneously destroyed Parra's premiership window and his son's reputation. It is cruel to keep putting his son under the spotlight when he is not only not up to first grade and will normally get torn apart by good oposition, but JA is also terribly out of form for even playing in reseve grade.
BA has never had any insight. He is the sort of person who is happy to just keep banging other peoples heads against brick walls.
