I've noticed the team are little too relaxed after losses. If ever they needed excuses to give up for the year, they have every excuse available under the sun.
Sacked coach. Injured star player for a while. Injured captain for a while. I just get negative vibes that they are feeling sorry for themselves and opting for the easy way out knowing they have things to blame.

I think you are right. We still have some competitors within the team who appear hungry (Gutho, Moses, Penisini) and then a whole lot more going through the motions. Whilst RCG hasn't been at his best, I think the loss of his brother coincided with him looking somewhat distracted on the field. I get a real vibe from Jnr and Lane that they are just happy to be there.
I don't know whether this attitude can be turned around so late in one's career. Do we need a wholesale turnover of the squad or could someone like McDermott bring the best out of the playing group?
I do think our lack of depth in our backline has been the biggest issue. Other squads with unknown players burn our guys like they are park footballers, let alone a quality player such as Crichton who toyed with our boys on Monday.
I know I have
If we beat the Bulldogs (which we should have) I gave us a chance against the Roosters this week and then the bye would have left us just outside the 8 with the next game against the knights after the bye to get into the 8.
I now think it is a bridge too far
I don't think they have given up but they aren't confident enough in eachother to overcome constant pressure. It's a mental thing for the Eels and has been for a very long time now. They are a team that can play well when things are going there way but not so much when it isn't. That is the difference between well coached sides and those that aren't. The good ones can overcome anything and the rest can't. If the Eels had have gotten Bennett, the difference would have been obvious. Now the Eels are going to put all their hopes into a rookie who hasn't proven they can instill that in a team. It doesn't mean he won't be able to, it's just yet to be seen.
Regardless of ladder position, nrl players still playing for their career ect. The effort is still there but mostly other teams are just in better form or outplaying us. Could shock the chooks this week as we do play better at home and still a solid lineup
No they always laugh after a loss. No change.
Of course. They can't beat the bunker and ref and touch judges when them make dud decisions which are discussed in the media at the beginning of the week. . There are just too many people to overcome with 13 players on our team. It has turned into a mugs game where the viewers are given no credibility.
They will turn up to home games and have a dig until things start to go against them then they'll switch off. It's been a while since they won away and I don't think there's much chance of that changing any time soon. Being mentally weak has well and truly set in under BA's watch.
Frankly, what is the point? This is the first year I have stopped watching NRL. For 24 years, I have never stopped watching NRL. It takes a toll emotionally.
The whole board should be sacked; why only the coach? We saw the writings on the wall a long time ago.
Some of the players and the coach should have been sacked, too. Anyway, it is a write-off season.
We should have bled a young full-back or at least played for a fullback from another club.
I was satisfied to see my favourite club, Real, lift the Champions League and Spanish League—it was very, very satisfying.
We are going for the wrong coach.
Whoever comes - will go through the revolving door.
Frankly, our club has gone to dogs. The board members are corrupt/incompetent. Players don't give a sh***. Our coach has single-handedly destroyed the club by doing nothing to stop the rot.
I am surprised to see people are talking about match against the Rorters... lol
