Harry grant to knights??

Grants been linked to knights and interesting,Grants open to moving to Newcastle.Just rumors at this stage but if it gets bigger and bigger.Knights can't afford him with ponga and brown on over a mill and others taking a lot of the cap.So what does this have to do w parra.

Harry grant goes to Newcastle.Eels have been linked to best and since knights cap is tight and best is on a good chunk of money.

Bradman best-Eels

Harry Grant-Knights

Just rumors right now,but if grant somehow goes knights.Very high high chance best leaves  end of 27.

      • When all is said and done i still reckon the knights are going to lose at least one of their edge forwards even if they don't sign Harry.

Although they are all locked in at least until the end of 2028 I can't see any of them being content with being a bench player or even missing out on a bench spot.

It's possible they move McEwen to centre but that will harm his future potential earnings.

I would be keeping a close eye on their edge forwards looking for an opportunity down the track, most likely after next season.

    • Barry Toohey laughed at the suggestion Newcastle will go for Grant. He is pretty good with his sources.

  • I would think when it comes to Storm resigning players, Harry Grant is at the top of the list. You can replace a hooker sure, but not with the rat cunning that Grant has. Any rumour that's out there is to push up his value for mine. Storm will sacrifice any player in their roster to keep him.

The only way I see him leaving is if it's a Payne Haas style of situation or a lifestyle change. Can't see Knights as that destination. I know he has a some investments in Brissy so Bronco's would be the destination if he did go.

  • The article also said that Best and Saifiti would have to be forced out for the Knights to have a chance at Harry coming on board.

  • Is Best now a real possibility?

3 players on well over $1,000,000 per season sounds great, however,  there cap would be extremely unbalanced.  Like the Eels, Newcastle have had successful seasons when majority of their roster is filled with local players. Without the exact figures,  I would guess that 80% or more of the premiership winning Knights teams of 97 and 01 were local juniors. Many players seem more invested in certain clubs when playing with their development club in comparison to playing for a club because they paid the most money. The Eels have had more success when there roster is built mainly with locals as has the Knights.

"MON is filling a seat right now, his position is poorly bounded and likely won't be replaced "as is". This will be a job deliberately left for Rush to work through.
I could almost all but guarantee that MON won't be here in 6 months time. I'd bet my…"
