I love this from Gutho he knows the rules and he knows refs got it wrong.

Dylan was clearly obstructed on the doggies game winning try.  Read the full transcript from Guthos chat with the ref after the whistle below.

Immediately after the contest, Eels halfback Mitchell Moses also sought out answers from Gough but their conversation was not picked up.

Gutherson was also not done with Gough and was seen in an intense conversation with the referee, with the full dialogue below.

Peter Gough: “Clint, the way it looked to me, they’re both running this way. He’s potentially a support player when contact is made.”

Clint Gutherson: “But he’s a lead. He led inside our two man. That’s the call, that’s the play.”

PG: “I can only give you what I can give you.”

CG: “I understand, but they’re going to come out tomorrow and say that’s the wrong call and it cost us the game. That play cost us the game.”

PG: “I understand that’s a game-winning try. I understand that.”

CG: “But every other obstruction like that where a lead is inside our two man and the half gets taken out, it’s a penalty. Every day of the week. It happened two times tonight.”

PG: “They score out on the edge, come on, Clint.”

CG: “But Dylan gets back and makes the tackle, that’s the play. It’s a bad call, man, it is. You know it is.”

PG: “That might be the case, Clint, but that’s the decision, mate. Come on.”

    • Yup all pointless now . Them saying they got it wrong now Is totally hollow . Unfortunately now the loss will be looked at as a referee blunder then the players losing a game they lost themselves .

    • Bunker ref is also that dmb lady Badger. Never reviewed it as they usually do.

Asi's no try was sent up for double movement, not for grounding.

What did she looked at, grounding. Clearly, Asi was initially short but was brought forward by the defenders from behind. Asi never raised his forearm to forward the ball over the line.

But dmb Badger looked for effin grounding!!!

  • Could see how animated gutho was

    thanks for transcript !

  • They were hell bent on them winning  I get we got some favourable penalties .  But when it came to try's , we had one disallowed that should've been a try and they got one , possibly two they  shouldn't .

I do wonder if the way he addresses the officials has something to do with why referees are always on the defensive with us though .  He and Moses are agressive sooks at the referees and never seem to ge their ears like a Cam Smith would've .  I'd tell them to fuck off too rather than absorb what they'll saying .

  • Correct, so much focus on if he made it in or not that the lead runner taking out brown wasn't looked at.

Moses conversation related to the penalty they were given for his high tackle slap in face. A fair yet inconsistent penalty given  Cartwright dropped the ball after being slapped across the face 5 minutes before this play which was called a knock on and not a penalty

  • I don't mind Gutho discussing calls with refs but if I was him I'd save my breath. Other then a challenge they are never gonna change a call. Just keep it moving

  • We're near the bottom of the ladder so these shit calls will now be more frequent.
