  • So what's Weidler actually saying?

Captain and key squad member meets with the two most important figures in the football department of the club he plays at along with his manager to discuss his future role and reevaluated market value?

Sounds like there is absolutely nothing unusual about this, infact a showing from the club that he means a lot to us moving forward. Wouldn't imagine MON and JR taking time out of their busy schedule to hold a meeting with Gutherson if he was being moved on.

Another attempt to sow seeds of doubt and disrupt our exciting progress and destabilize fan confidence.

    Dont let them get you.

Gutherson will likely sign a team friendly deal and play a Connor Watson role and fill any backline injuries over the next two seasons. Excellent piece to have in a rebuilding roster.

    • 100%, that post is like an epispde of Seinfield...

    • Spot on. Wouldn't expect anything less from a surname like Weidler. Rowdy roddy piper once said just say no to them...😝

    • I bet my left testicle he doesn't sign a team friendly contract. I reckon he's gone.

      • His gone

        • I do wonder if we tried to trade for a player at Dragons, yet nobody worth while to be fair 😂😂😂

Dragons made some decent signings but is becoming a dads army.

        • It's always been about me me me

  • I mean could be anything. What plans are definitely for 2025. What Ryles plans for 2026 onwards. Financials for 2026. What does he want for 2025 onwards. What offers have you sort of heard for 2026? (Let's be fair clubs call beforehand). Maybe discussion of captaincy.

It could be simply a timeline on when they will offer a deal. Ryles might also say he can still get Fullback role over Iongi. Or, unlikely, he has asked if he can consider a deal elsewhere for 2025 if offered.

    This seems normal
