Its been reported today that Gower is keen to return to the NRL either playing for the EELS or the Raiders.

A have a close source that is in regular contact with Gower, and from wat he has told me we are favoured to get his signature.

  • YAWN....................................Here we go again!!
  • another has been, big deal
  • here we go once again........well looks like im ringing good old twinkle toes his brother Jas tonight and asking
  • We are starting to sound like Bulldogs
only difference is Dogs actually sign the people
i am so over hearing about every available player being to linked to the Eels
and in the end we will end up with the same lot as this year with a couple of has beens thrown in
  • A close sauce, did they scrape it off his chips?

There is a member on here "miatch" that is a teacher to Gower's nephew (In My Opinion, Family is the closest source you will find), and the nephew has quashed this rumour plenty of times!

Why would Gower come back to NRL and earn bugger all, when Italy has him groomed for the world cup?

Gower's a silly boy, but he's not that stupid!

Plus i believe the Norks want to stay in the Italian sun!
  • Well Gower forked out a lot for those norks so I reckon he would want them looked after.

Gower would come back to re - establish himself in Australia before going on to a coaching gig here, that transition would be much easier after a season or two with an NRL club as opposed to just popping back in to the country from Italy.
  • Gower has tidied his act right up by all reports. I reckon he would be an ideal foil for a Hayne move to five eigth.

As you say he is tough and rugged and his experience in guiding the team around would be invaluable.
  • I'm a fan of the norks, not so much Gower. Why on earth would he go and play Rugby and then throw it in just before the World Cup! That is, unless of course, he's not going to make the team and honestly if he's not good enough to make the Italian World Cup side, it suggests to me that he's past it.
  • Look while i agree with u, you need to calm down. He is entitled to his opinion.
And Jamie Lyon is a grt player at 6 but wanted to go back to the centres. And he is their best ball player.
  • From what I've seen Murray is 2-3 years off 1st grade
