GOOD HALFBACKS

What makes a good halfback?

In short, a good halfback inspires his team.

How? He gives the attack options, and takes the right option. He also has the ability to occasionally spark the attack with some individual brilliance.

Kelly has none. Sandow, despite his deficiencies, does. He can create a line break, a chip and regather or a 40/20.

Kelly couldn't inspire a fly on a doggie doo.

It's time.

  • Remember last year?...same thing....certain players picked week after wooden spoon week.... lets hope its not yet again....teachers pet scenario....

  • Before Kelly I would rather anyone he is useless and can't pass for crap
  • we want sandow

  • Kelly is slow. Sandow has some zip.

Sandow and Peats played together at Souths. They could combine well here.

    Sandow can kick goals.

    It's gotta happen.

  • 100% sandow has to play, I don't understand how Kelly gets picked he has nothing to offer and tries to avoid tackling, at least sandow puts his body there
  • Sandow at least offers something, sure he is a liability in defence but Kelly is hardly a Jeff Robson in defence.

But Sandow has some toe, good kicking game and can kick goals.  Kelly offers nothing besides Blowies for the coach.

    • Cant just be blowies. There`s gotta be some slurping going on too.

  • I'm thinking we are abit stronger and committed in defense this year.we could probably hide Sandow easier
  • ... are everything Luke Kelly is not.

  • Kelly has had his chances. I don't recall him attacking the line once v Manly. He's no threat to the opposing team. Enough is enough.

I don't buy this. They must have saw he was incapacitated and very dazed after the warm up hit. Then not only did he run out and get another concussion 9 minutes later, but he was allowed to enter the feild a third time.  The duty of care was…"
