Goalkickers. Do we have enough depth?

Just looking through our possible squad for next season and other than Luke Burt and Tom Humble I can't see any other goalkickers who would play in our run on sid.

Should we be chasing a good quality kicker who can play in the NRL?

There is no certainty either Burt or Humble will be in the run on team.

  • im sure hayne has kicked in first grade before rather poorly though haha and cant morts kick?
  • Pretty sure Hayne can kick as well. 3 goal kickers is heaps.
  • Well I would have thought one goal kicker on the run on squad would be enough, and I can assure u as long as Burt is fit, he will start every game...
  • I'm thinking if Grothe is resigned, and Loco lives up to the hype, Burt might get squeezed out.
    • That loco looks the goods, and I hope they give him a run, but the club loves Burt , and I cant see him getting the chop even if grothe does get resigned... Loco coming through is probably the reason they are looking to off load grothe!! It frees up more money for quade , and I'm praying they get him... But ur right in saying that if Burt was not playing firsts we would struggle with our goal kicking considering how good a kicker he is!
  • I would expect Dan Mortimer to be backup kicker next year. He was a pretty handy goalkicker in U20s,
  • Hayne can kick. He's kicked 2/2 from the sideline in first grade
  • If we got Quade Cooper he can kick to... hes reds goal kicker and kicked a couple for australia to i think
  • id be more worried about try scorers first, get the trys flowing(hasnt been much lately) then worry about the kicking. but am sure most of the backs could have a go what about m keating or mitchell(if around)? im sure the club would have that covered somehow.

"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "

"I think Joash is a good player, but from what I've seen only at fullback or on the wing. Those positions we've got pretty well covered, so I guess he's a great back up option. I'd like to see him in 1st grade, but I dont know how he fits in?"
