The feedback I was given by a mate on the eels training/game day staff who is obviously in the sheds before/after games was Isaac Degois couldn't sing the praises of Corey Norman loud enough by the way he organises each (every) play and made his job so much easier to know which runner to give the ball to and even direction in the defence line. "Barked instructions to me for 80 mins" quote.
Isaacs transition into the team looked seamless and Norman should be praised for his role in that.
I for one thought Corey has been lacking some individual flare and thought he would be playing a different style of 5/8 but his role is to be the chief organiser and this has been a bit undervalued or over looked. It makes perfect sense now why BA didn't want to move him from the halves to fullback yesterday. A master stroke.
IMO Corey still has improvement left in him on his individual game (*note is still only 22) but all credit to him as the teams organiser a very hard role and one that doesn't get many accolades after a win when we mostly remember who scored the brillant tries, made the line breaks and forwards running at the right defenders which were all organised before the set even started.

Good feedback Bert, cheers.
We were a rabble last year, and it's great to watch us this year 200% more organised.
Next week's game v Storm is a huge one and can really be a launch pad to a climb up the ladder over the next few weeks (if we are good enough).
Snake has the same love for him as Ron has for Mossop!
Yeah i can't believe how many supporters have been bagging him.
He has been brilliant, all the little things he does and his defence, much tougher defender than i thought.
Anyone bagging him must not know much about the game of rugby league.
I have been very impressed with his defence and the energy he creates to the team environment. In the last play in the first half after Tonga had lost the ball earlier in a hit up then made up for it with the last tackle of the half that forced the ball free he was the first to rush over to Tonga and slap on the back and marshalled the players who were heading off to the sheds to get over and do the same. I liked seeing that.
Norman has been anything but brilliant. He has shown potential, but has been inconsistent. Some people clearly pick a favourite player and see what they want to see.
His defence the last couple of games has been great. Big improvement to our team from last year, some of his tackles were the difference between us winning or losing.
He is only 22.
Like Sterlo said a few weeks back. He is the Glue in this team.
Joey Johns has huge wraps on him and Darren Lockyer said that he did not realise Norman was that good. It appears as though ex players, who actually understand the game better than most, seem to think he's doing a great job for us and can see the value he brings to our side.
