You watch Channel 9 and Ray Warren spends a lot of time talking about where the odds stand, and how they are shifting during the game. We constantly see the odds flash across the bottom of the screen. Sometimes it seems that they focus more on the odds than their own perceptions of the game. They are paid to, all in the name of encouraging more betting during the game.
With the breaking news about the Lord's Test (and possible match fixing of the Sydney Test), we are seeing another cycle of gambling ruining cricket (for the second time). And now we have the ongoing investigation of the Cowboys' recent game.
I think the odds are, we are setting a dangerous precedent for rugby league by the incessant obsession with betting.

Cricket is copping it with the Pakistan team corrupt (whats new)...
Centerbet is a major sponsor of everything, so i guess your gonna get overkill.
It does make it easy to fix games more now, because you can bet on anything in a game.
In contrast, when you watch other major football leagues - e.g. NFL, Premier League, you NEVER hear about betting options. The way things are going it is only a matter of time before another major scandal rips the game open.
We have had Superleague, the Storm and honestly don't need any others.
If he admitted it freely, the Nrl would have stepped in with the fraud squad to cover their arses for the legal wrangle it would create!
Centrbet as well as every other sports beting agency that had betting combinations on that game, from first try scorer to the amount of times the ball boy scratched his nuts, would be up in arms drowning in legal cases, personal grievances cases as well as bet fixing allegations!
So if i may, i would like to ask again...."When/Where did Freddie admit he threw the game for the Chooks to run last?"
I will try to remember where i read it and post the link...
here is one link,,, trying to find the other
