  • I like the Galvinator nickname but way too early to claim him one of ours.
Why are reports only about the Eels making a play for him and not one mention about the Roosters. Uncle Nick is doing it on the quiet and will announce him Nov 1st.

The Herminator - Herman Maier one of the all time great Austrian skiers, winning world cups and Olympic gold. One of my favourites

    • Roosters eyes on Ponga, and old Nick and I Moses don't see eye to eye. I think Galvin as Moses understudy is too perfect for him to pass up

  • Did Luai only sign for 1 year if he did Luai be the best replacement for That never was and neve will be Player

Luai and Moses lead up to a a grand final victory

    • 2 years they'll get from him if he leaves.  2025 then in November 1st  2025 he can sign elsewhere for 2027. So they'll have him for 2025 and 2026.

Which means we have no recognised 5/8 options at this stage until 2027. That's IF we are only looking at Galvin, Luai , Wishart etc.

Maybe a Smokey we should keep an eye on is Jayden Sullivan who's getting a season under old Benny and is on a loan agreement from The Tigers .

      • Sullivan is shit at best

  • Galvin would be a good signing for us purely because he's young he has a future and he reverses the trend of juniors leaving. The narrative has to change and getting one back is a win for the club and the narrative of incompetence around them leaving gets arrested because we are getting one of our own back.

The reports of 800 are going to get blown out of the water if he has another season like last.Without a doubt his value will start closer to 7 figures for mine but we have a war chest he's a top priority for sure and I hope the powers that be are parked up outside his house his parents house or where ever he lives and keep dropping the hint.

  • 8 months is a long time.

If we get the spoon and the Tigers climb the ladder, he will stay with them.

  • There is a story on daily telegraph rehashing the Galvin to Eels rumour.  The part I find most interesting is about Galvin love of the game and how quickly his progressed from average player to future star in lower grades overtaking other players the Tigers had high hopes for.

He just loves the game of football and loves to learn the game of football. He lives and breathes it. He’s one of the rare kids these days that will go home and watch games on the weekend that aren’t his.

“There’s not many students in the game anymore. He just wants to enjoy his rugby league. That’s the main thing.”

Im not saying he will be as good as Cleary but very similar was spoken about him.  JT and Cronk were other examples of players who were never naturally gifted but worked harder than others to be the best always learning.  Completely opposite to Brown and what sets Galvin to live up to potential.  Its only his 2nd year but we get to see his 2nd year before making an offer.  I think he is definitely worth having a makeshift option for 2026 as the kid has all ingredients to be a superstar and with Issac Moses as manager works in our favour.  He would love Mitch Moses to win a comp and Galvin is the man to help him.

  • All this talk about LG getting close to a mill is crazy, he's a kid who's played one season of footy. As impressive as he was how is he going to handle the second year?

At some point this year Benji might have to try Fainu at 7 and where does that leave Galvin? At centre or in reserve grade

    • It does sound crazy to pay a million but have to remember the shortage of halves in the nrl and the cap is going to keep going up. In 4 or 5 years he'll be a bargain at that price if he develops under Moses. Most definitely worth the money
