This signing never made sense. They already had a quality left sided 6 in Burton and went out and signed another one. Burtons game and the bulldogs game has flourished since Sexton stepped up to take pressure off Burton. We made the Grandfinal in 22 with Mahoney in the team and for the last 2 years the Bulldogs have been the best defensive side in the competition (no coincidence). Good defence starts in the middle and Mahoney is a little terrier. Now they have lost Mahoney as a result of the Galvin signing. Can Galvin work long term? Perhaps it can but I think it's 2-3 years away from bearing any fruit. This was an impulse signing from the dogs and they would of been better off looking for a more dynamic fullback than signing another 6
Not having Galvin didn't really help them. They got the win but were exposed with plenty of missed tackles and inability to score tries. 2 tries against the worst defensive team is dismal for a top 4 side. Their easy draw has hidden their deficiencies and they were 1 from 3 against top 8 sides also having 44 and 42 points scored against them playing the dolphins and broncos before Galvin arrived. Now 1 from 5 against top 8 sides and they have been exposed and it isn't just the Galvin situation.
"When you get a chance have a look at Penriths win/loss record when he is the ref and he was refereeing long before they started winning comps. Every single 50/50 call goes Penriths way and it's very clear he hates Parra despite the fact his old man…"

Should never have been in that side to start with.
