Who will be the next crop of future coaches to come.
I think DCE will make a good 1st grade coach when he calls time.
Couple others i think
-Boyd Cordner now in Roosters coaching system
-Blake Green, had the footy smarts
-Michael Morgan
-Like to see James Maloney, read the game well, was a winner everywhere he went, competitive
-Josh Morris
Cam Smith would, but gets more from Channel 9, think he will just do assistant in Origin
Always thought alot of Cooper Cronk but seems his style didnt gel well at Roosters coaching halves

I think Jordan RANKIN is a very intelligent reader of the game. He might surprise a few with his coaching abiity over next few years.
Its more about the ability of the incumbent to communicate and lead.
AS the assistants have shown you can be a good coach but not necessarilly a combination of those first two virtues...... Jack Gibson, Wayne Bennett and Craig Bellamey would not have figured in any discussion like you are having now, if it was before they actually coached.
My guess is you would actually have to be in the know to get and recognise that person......discussions about Webster the warriors coach are that he blows you away one on one when he sits down and discusses the role. Interesting to look back and see Alan Jones (the commentator) with his success with the Wallabies and then not so successful with the Tigers.
What ever the person you choose, my guess is that the bounce of the ball has a strong initial influence on success.....once that success is achieved then the difference in respect from the players goes a long way in bringing them together as a champion team......there are enormous paradoxes in the way that Bennett and Bellamey coach but once that respect is attained, the player that doesn't get on with them is facing a bigger fall than the coach.
Now come to a coach like BA, he earnt and commanded respect with a rag tag outfit in the middle of a crisis that is right up there in history of falling on its own sword. This initial respect carried him a long way and he earnt that respect. The game has gone onto maybe a technical level that he struggles with or just an outfit that does not quiet follow the paths of the players who were once so loyal to him. The difference cannot be mistaken that notwithstanding that BA has kept the support and loyalty of his team, despite a lot of issues that in different circumstances could have lost him the "room".
Personally I just believe his judgement of selections is his his main problem.....but he knows a lot more about that than I do or we do, given the subjective nature of selections......I often wonder what his co coaches think of his selections and what input they have?
The problem is that the game doesn't have a great development system for aspiring coaches. Some clubs do, most don't.
My tips
Jason Ryles, Andrew Ryan, Mark O'Meley, Brett Hodgson.
Amongst current players ... Jahrome Hughes, Matt Moylan, Luke Keary, Scott Sorensen, Scott Drinkwater, Kieran Foran, J'maine Hopgood, Lindsay Collins
The problem being, we should have a couple of knowledgeable up and coming coaches around ba, but unless you've won two or three spoons in a row, brad you wouldn't get a look in under the bush coach as he doesn't like anyone challenging his position.
I think Cameron Smith would be the pick of the lot.. However he is like Sterlo who would have been a gun coach but had the smarts to stay in the media....
Blake Ferguson I don't think would work
James maloney for me
Josh Hanney for mine, I know it's left field, but Sharks players swear by him and always in the QLD origin coaching ranks.
Other than that I was for Flanagan, another who bleeds BnG.
Jake Arhur is my tip , if he has 5% if his father's footy nous he could be the next Bennett .
