Bevan French in limbo
You have to feel for former Eels favourite Bevan French, who flew back to Australia from England recently to be with his sick mother. French is keen to return to the UK to fufill his contract with Wigan, where he has developed a cult following. But he also feels he needs to be near family at this difficult time. French has had a frustrating year at Wigan,
with a hamstring injury in May seeing him miss the majority of the season. But he still boasts an impressive strike rate of 26 tries in his 35 games at Wigan. If his family situation doesn't improve and he feels he must remain in Australia, several NRL clubs would be keen to snap up the flying utility - including his old club Parra.

He is lovely bloke - well spoken . We didnt use him the best and he would struggle now with this very physical, collision game we play. I wish him the very best.
Agree Paul.

I love watching this kid play. I would love to see him back.
Would be a fair addition to the squad, much may depend on cost and contract. If he is still under contract in SL, they may well work with him and the eels as it keeps both teams, family and all in good relationships, also helps Bev keep fit while in Oz.
Could be an X Factor
How would you fit him in?
He's not big! If he does come back to play RL, he could be fitted in, especially if he is basically here on loan from SL, could play for match payments, has happened previously with players but likely needs the NRL to sanction it.
I would say its more than likely he will go back to SL when family areas are resolved.
I'm not talking about money, I'm talking on the field, I couldn't see him fitting the style we have been playing.
