Nah ya gotta celebrate the wins. It's what you've just busted your ass for. Completely disagree with Smith here.
I lean on the fence, i understand what Smith is saying and sort of agree, yet they need to do the song. But do the song and that is it, back to business. Though do not be a total grinch like be human and celebrate a good performance but do not go to over the top which i don't know if they did or not.
The issues in the past is, have a bad performance, have a great and think "Ok, we're all good again" then fall back to the same trap.
I agree
Warren needs to stick to what he knows... nothing wrong with celebrating a good win, now is up to BA and the team to nail the second half of the season - time for BA to close the gap between our best and worst performances
Btw no charge for RCG
I think what Smith meant was beat 3 bottom 4 teams in a row.
Now that is a good point Chief.
If he thinks not celebrating a win will make a difference he is a fool.
Poor take by Smith. We are an aggression based team, we need to ride high on wins when it works and then take the same preparation mentality into the next game. The message from BA would have come after a short celebration, in fact he addressed it in the presser - he said their performance tonight was "frustrating" because of last week.
You celebrate what worked, learn from what didn't, and then you quickly remember that this was just one game and there are plenty more to go so we need to repeat that effort week on week for several more months.
But expecting them not to celebrate a thumping win, getting another big scalp for the year beating a team that we have almost never beaten over recent years...that's just stupid.
Smith is just a pissed off Roosters supporter
