"I think thats the problem. He is too good for NSW cup so we are trying to jut fit him into the NRL team somehow . But in reality he is not a 6 or a 9. Just a fullback right now. During the recent pre-season Papalii only spent time training with…"
"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "
"I think Joash is a good player, but from what I've seen only at fullback or on the wing. Those positions we've got pretty well covered, so I guess he's a great back up option. I'd like to see him in 1st grade, but I dont know how he fits in?"

Why would it get in our way with putting an offer in front of Pearce?
Just put an offer in front of EVERY half back in the league.
You never know - maybe Mortimer or Robson might jump at it. *sigh*
Rumour last week was Robson was looking to get out of the team where he is currently playing.

Let go of the eels entire incumbent talent recognition department.
Bring back Noel Cleal or recruit some recruiting scouts who have the talent to spot talent & is given scope by the Board of Directors.
Develop the existing talent we have left. Humble, Mitchell, the new ex-Rooster junior or whoever we sign, if we do - and do not entertain Morts as a 7.
Don't expect miracle results. Think long term and have faith in their abilities. Persist and allow them scope to be creative and lead the team even if they fail sometimes.
Get a fulltime halfback coach who can really coach the halves.
