Foran Gutted

When Eels skipper Keiran Foran reflects on the most difficult period of his life; Parramatta’s salary cap penalty won’t feature most prominently in his mind.The most underplayed element of Foran’s breakdown a week ago was the leaked story about him chasing Manly for $140,000 in unpaid third party agreements.Foran had desperately guarded the issue for months, privately convincing reporters privy to the information to stay quiet.But that changed when he hired a lawyer to pursue the money – and told certain Eels officials.According to Foran’s camp, the story appeared simultaneously in both of Sydney’s Sunday papers a few days later after the halfback confided in his clubmates.Foran was gutted.Those close to him feel there was an obvious motivation to leak the story – to deflect attention from Parramatta’s ongoing woes and put Manly under the gun. To some extent it has worked.The NRL Integrity Unit now has no option but investigate Foran’s dealings with his previous club. That put enormous strain on Foran, who was already struggling over his well-documented relationship split.He’s now recovering at an Interstate clinic that specializes on those suffering from depression and anxiety.Unlike good mate Mitchell Pearce in Thailand, he’s maintained contact with a range of people on the outside over the past week.What’s been largely forgotten about Foran’s revised four-year deal with Parramatta is that he’s a free agent at the end of next season, because he has an option to stay with the club in 2018 and 2019.The events of the past week could hardly have worked in Parramatta’s favour in that department.

The short answer is Denis built a culture of politics and also a LOT of money with that comes power . Being the king of our castle used to mean something , you had profile ,unfortunately these boof heads still haven't realised that day has long passed . So to answer you question in my opinion it dates back to Fitzy and his chessmaster type approach to running the joint .

As for the best interests , I believe Sharp does , the problem is when you've got people taking aim at you from every direction trying to get their own pride restored and get you out how can you seriously do the job properly ? It seems he may have cut some corners trying to get a quicker result on field to put the Sharks at bay . It's too late now , he's cooked which is unfortunate as i believe he's the only one in a long time that actually did only want to see the joint put back on top . If he was smart enough to spend some of the millions we've been fined on a top flight no bullshite CEO things may have turned out better .

I am sure Foran wouldn't have broken down because of this, we all know our club is a shambles. The media (assuming this is an article) is attempting to drive a wedge between Foran and our club.

I think the moral of the story is that he's not gutted because of the relationship breakdown nor even us breaking the cap , he's gutted that some grub at Parramatta told the media that Manky owe him money to deflect attention on to them also doing dodgy TPAs .

This is all happening because of the selfish lowlifes trying to bring down the board and prepared to destroy our club in the process.
Now there is a real chance Foran walks.

Nothing against the current board but all current and past board members must be gone
The board needs a clean start
Also dumb move to leak it if it was our club. Not in our long term interest.

If Manly guaranteed his TPA then he has a claim against them and they are in salary cap strife too. If they didn't guarantee the TPA then he has no claim on them, only on the TPA provider.

I love my Eels and would hope that Foran stays, but if this is true then you can't blame Foran for walking out. I'm sick and tired of the crap that is going on with these lowlifes that think of nothing but themselves.......
