Foran enters guilty plea

Dyldam Parramatta Eels halfback Kieran Foran has today entered an early guilty plea for a charge of Grade 1 Contrary Conduct - Contact with Match Official, leaving him free to play in Round 4 of the NRL Telstra Premiership. The charge, for making contact with referee Matt Cecchin in the 45th minute of the Eels' Round 3 match against the Bulldogs, carries a base penalty of 125 points, or 93 points for an early guilty plea.I bet later down the season it comes back to bite us!!

  • How will this come back to bite us?

    • Carry over points right?
    • Um later in the season he may be charged again and because of his carry over points he will automatically miss at least 1 week depending on the charge.
Btw they should have fought the charge.....weak as piss!!!
    • Accidentally touches another ref.

Thats grade 1 + carryover points + prior similar offense = Out for probably 2 weeks.

      Thats how.

  • Well Foran now carries over 93 points doesn't he? So if he does a high shot or god forbid touches a ref again, he'll already be up for 93 points and an early plea probably won't help him? Correct me if I'm wrong please??

I mean Klemmer fought his and got off. No suspension and no carryover points, right?? Why the hell would Parra NOT do the same thing and use the Klemmer decision as the precedent from 1 week ago ffs?!

  • !!!
  • I agree Wizard, they should of at least tried but nah just plead guilty. Freakin unfarking believable!!!
  • best tape up our players wrists with the reminder texta'd on it
  • Someone said that Klemmer got off because he was 'stopping' the ref from walking into him.

If thats the case we couldnt argue the same for Foz and therefore would have got screwed.

We all knew we were getting screwed either way, didnt we?

    • Agree TBUR on all counts!
