Fonua pole👀

Posted by Roy tannous on October 20, 2026 at 6:41pm

Fonua pole is another one hitting open market and been seeing from different sources he could be on eels hitlist aswell. If true I reckon we should definitely go hard for him,can definitely lock up the starting prop spot along side Spencer in 2028.

In the ceo update posted by eels a couple days ago.It says Mike rush and mon are very active in the open market for players that suit ryless style of play and Fonua pole definitely does.Similar build to Jack Williams and is a workhorse. Can definitely be our enforcer with Spencer.

Would youse take him at parra?

I don't have enough a problem with pole. However; we need outside backs desperately.

"Good point Adam. He's had Griffin and Flanagan as coaches. Two coaches who have reps of being hard to work under.
Ryles however seems to be liked by his players. Sloan could be better under Ryles for all we know."

"Yeah I would be fine with him. We need speed and Sloan has that. He also has a bit of flair in his game like JAC where he will chip and chase out of nowhere.
He is young enough to improve and experienced enough to just plug and play and can play…"
