Flegg win against Storm

Today, in Flegg, we downed the Storm the hard way.

Down 12 blot after 15 minutes we came back to shut the storm out 28-18.

My best were Alameddine

                      Petrus &

                      Popo

Ryda played like Matto today, very disapointing.....But, a new front-rower emerged.......Miller came off the bench and killed it. A similarity of Junior when younger, and bullocked over for a great try to bring back into the game.

And take note the Storm were the champions last year...maybe all is not lost!

  • Miller is the guy who got sacked from tigers. He has played nrl before. We signed him last year but was so overweight

  • Petrus and Popo will be in cup by the end of the year. Hopefully for Popo he is in cup in a few rounds. Petrus was runni by so hard and was belting blokes. Talagi looked good in the first half I thought.

Alamadine looked like his 2024 best. Hope his defence has improved.

    • Hi EA, Miller looked outstanding today, looking for work and had their time trying to stop him. He's a big body but looks very fit now. I expect him to start in 2weeks or at least have more game time and as well he pushed offdefenders to score from 10 yards out under the post. Just as well because Fletcher can't kick goals from wide out. I kept count  of the penalties and 6agains today after seeing thursdays game and Melbourne won both 5-2 in agains and 7-2 in penalties.

      • Yea Miller was lifting blokes and dragging them back in defence. Looked like a man against boys. Looks fit for his size as you mentioned. As PT mentioned he has enormous raps on him at tigers before being sacked and losing his way a bit. Last year he played one game in JF and we was so overweight and unfit. Remember he has made his nrl debut albeit when tigers were getting the spoon. But honestly feel that this grade is too easy if he finds his best given his prior experience

Yep I noticed the BS ref today as well. Fletcher can goal kick btw. He hadn't missed a single conversion in SG ball this year and plenty of them were from out wide.

    • Petrus could get a spot for PNG in the WC.

  • Jordan MILLER ? He came through the Wests pathway and was very good in Ball 2024 even though the side was in semi final contention until we beat them in round 9. Havent spotted him since than but I will say this. The kid has massive potential and I can see him playing NRL. He was given his debut by benji in 2024.

PETRUS is 19 I believe December.   BUT I rate him so highly, he will play NRL within next two years. The guy is a weapon, his defence stings every time but his attack is lethal and when he gets one on one they cant handle him. POPO is the cam Murray of pathways. Massive engine and a great role model. He leads every run, every effort areas where he excels particulary in attack, Also an exceptional catcher opf teh football off kicks.  Think NANAI quality threat.

Whilst last night hurts , I know there is the batch of guns emerging now. EA has mentioned most of them, We need to free carry 2 of this special bunch and we are setting up well for sustained and consistant football always in 8 and most likely top 4.

  • Ryda is overrated

"What I take away from that game is that the Eels spent the entire off-season learning how to completely forget how to play a first grade standard of football, and the evidence is the Eels' diabolically bad second half.
