No it's not April fools and I haven't suffered a recent head injury but Fittler made a good point on the footy show all be it with an absolute word salad but he was bringing up the varying timed it takes to kick a goal.
I'm sure quite a few years ago the NRL started giving players fines for taking over 90 seconds to kick a goal.
From memory Clinton Shifkofske (sorry about the spelling) was a player for us that got fined.
It's one of the things that erks me as a kicker takes forever to kick a goal whilst the clock keeps ticking.
I would love to see the clock stop once a try is confirmed and give the kicker 60 seconds to take the kick or they forfeit the opportunity
We have it at the scums as well as drop outs as teams were wasting time why not goals.
Does anyone else agree or have a different take on it.

Stop the clock when a try scored then restart play when it's kicked off. Kicking for goal shouldn't waste time.
Same as drop outs, stop the clock till they kick it. Would bring more play time, reduce time wasting especially late in game and also reward teams if force drop out while chasing points with a minute to go. I hate seeing players stand around for nearly 90seconds of game time to wind down clock at end of game
Yep, why give them time to waste when you can stop and start the clock?
Also stop trainers stopping play due to 'HIA' when they are on the defence. They can put the player in the backline and assess them but never stop the play. This is now beginning a ploy by the defensive team when the other team had momentum or especially after a repeat set is obtained.

I'm getting jack of players taking ages to come from the field of play after they've been binned or sent off.
If you get 10mins and you're not off within 30secs, it gets upgraded to send off.
If you're sent off, upgrade suspension by a week.
Yep. Gamesmanship so their team mates can get their breath back a little while longer.
All on field doctors (independant) must belong to the NRL and not the clubs. Team doctors take the piss out of the play and leave slightly concussed players on. How many times has the independant doctor called a player from the field after the club doctor said the player was sweet?
