Col, are you any good at suduko? And I don't mean the piss easy one's - I mean the one's that take like over an hour to solve if you even get that far. You've got to use some serious logic to solve them, not just put the numbers in the boxes. I've got an app on my phone and that fills in a fair bit of time if you are bored. Otherwise there's always cricket.
Thereyou go again with that cricket thing Adam - I am sure watching paint dry is far more exciting than cricket.
As for Sudoko - I have no interest in the game, people have tried to explain it to me and I go to sleep from boredom.
What I have done several times over the past several months - can't do several times in a few months, that would be out of balance - however back to my story, I have downlaoded kids games (plus solitaire and its variants) play them for a week or so, get bored, delete them, then go download others that are pretty much the same but loook different. Get bored - repeat.

Ah good, time for a good mold fashioned in depth discussion on our subject matter.
Now Doc you have explained the proccess in simple terms, that is also good because most of the people on here are very simple, that means some of them will still struggle with your explanation.
HOWEVER there is also a chemical reaction taking place as paint dries, all paints have solvents. Eg Water based paints contain Methylated Spirits and possibly other chemicals of a similar nature. Acetone is also used in th emanufacture of paints. As YOU would be aware one of the best agents to dewater with is methylated spirits and becomes part of the chemical reaction I spoke of.
In our next episode we will discuss the higher chemical reactions of drying "oil" based paints. Can't give the simpletons too much to digest in our first presentation of the fascinating world of watching paint dry.
From there we can move onto 2 packs, and the truly wonderous world of how they dry.
BTW, the alternative to waiting 4-5 days to apply stickers to drying paint is to put them on when the paint is not quite touch dry. This adheres the stickers into the paint, not just onto the paint. Do try it, it is an exciting exercise.
