Fa’aoso charged by Match Review Committee

Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Richie Fa’aoso has been charged by the match review committee following Friday night’s match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Eels forward Richie Fa’aoso was not penalised during the match, but was nonetheless charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact – Head/Neck for a tackle involving George Burgess in the 37th minute of the match.

Fa’aoso could avoid missing any rounds of competition with an early guilty plea.

The Eels have yet to respond to the charges.

  • No great lost

  • Can't believe we didn't cop a penalty for that one
  • If you read the link closely it does not stipulate that he caused dangerous contact to Burgess' head. For all we know Fa'aoso may be getting charged with dangerous contact to his own head.

If this was the case, it wouldn't surprise me.
  • If the shoe was on the other foot some fools on this site would be blowing up deulux, how the fek Fa'aoso wasn't penalized on the field I don't know.
Lussick in the same boat earlier this year with a swinging arm not penalized.

No but some dopes on here are blaming referees for our position on the ladder.
    • Chief, I have no complaints about the refereeing on Friday night. In one respect, not being penalised was a shock. In another respect it doesn't shock because there has been a recent move to not penalise under those circumstances. I think few people have raised any issues about the refereeing that night.
  • Richie needs to give the game away before he does himself further injury.

  • Sorry but Richie has become a passenger. Every game he has played since he came back has either been concussed or injuried and when on the park hasnt really given us much. His only good game this year was with Tonga.

  • Hopefully retires, should not get a extension as is a liability. No lose.

  • Richie you were a brave warrior and you tried to come back but its not worth becoming a paraplegic over mate.....besides, you look like quasi modo everytime you're going to tackle and it keeps reminding me of this little catholic brother i knew at school who would ring the church bell.... Good luck with your future endeavours. Personally i think they'll give you a 28 week suspension or a jail term.
