If they are not man enough they should go and play chess instead
I agree that a percentage of high shots are accidental and some are just unavoidable, however a majority of high shots just come out of pure laziness by the tackler. Penalties and the risk of suspension are their to keep players on guard and aware that they can't come into tackles being reckless, recklessnes will lead to injuries.
Keiran Forans shot yes it was high but it was unintentional, penalty was sufficient.
Micheal Ennis's shot was just lazy and misjudged, and deserved a week on the sideline which he has got.
Brent Kite landed two high shots on the weekend, the first which busted Heighingtons nose was lazy yet I wouldn't say reckless, however the second one which he fortunately didn't catch as flush was very poor, it was late, his arm was swinging and he wasn't put on report for it.
George Rose's shot was purely out of frustration, swinging arm, clenched fist and the player was almost on the ground before he decided to come in and hit him. If he had of done some serious damage to the tigers player (which was quite possible) then he would of been sitting on the sideline for a lot longer than a week, which I think he should be content with.
Would you agree that what is even more frustrating is the rule where a player is taken out after they have kicked?
Ref's have to blow penalties now every time the kicker is touched which is rubbish, putting pressure on the kicker is part of the game. Fair enough if the shot is late, or overly strong but most of the penalties these days are for little more than a nudge.
