So Joash who has played over 10 games at 5/8 in NRL will go back to Cup and play Fullback to hone his craft instead of getting more minutes in NRL. Brilliant. Just cross Joash off the list

That is the rational behind it, but can totally understand your pov as well.
You sign a veteran to fill that roll not an up and coming youngster who you are going to help develop for another club.
I can't understand how anybody would be ok with developing a young player for another club.
That's the issue, what other veterans are out there ? Jackson Hastings ?? Pezet is the best available fill in option and Ryles knows him well. Storm have been developing him for years they'd be more pissed off then anyone

That rationale is BS also we talk about developing playmakers that's exactly what Pezet is himself just a different name on him.
That scenario there bringing doesn't hold water also Pezets probably played a few more games than Papali'i I mean it's just BS and it doesn't help us at all.
We aren't contenders for next year and if we were Pezets bailing anyway according to reports and then we are back to the inexperienced playmaker outside Moses regardless.
If we were one player away maybe I'd get the rationale but we just aren't.We don't need the spanner in the works and delaying what potentially could be on the market the following year.
