IS this a sign that Daniel Anderson is safe for the long term? Anderson's assistant, Peter Sharp, has been offered a three-season deal with the Eels - he is being chased by both the Storm and the Roosters.

PIGGY'S PARRA DEAL FALLS THROUGH
MARK ''PIGGY'' RIDDELL has missed out on his chance to rejoin the Eels and he will be disappointed. It came down to signing Reni Maitua or Riddell, said Eels chief executive Paul Osborne. ''When we got Reni I told Mark's manager that we were no longer interested.'' Riddell had been telling close mate he was bound for the Eels.

    i think piggy woulda been a good edition over c webb, piggy has a great little kicking and tricks game that we have been missing out with mortimer and robson, he has experience to take pressure off the halves. only for a cheaper wage though.

    I think that Reni can be played at lock, 5/8 and even the back row, which makes him more versatile than Riddell.
    But piggy's runs from dummyhalf as a hooker would have been needed alot.
    Oh well, what's done is done.
    We should get rid of matt keating and get Anthony Mitchell starting off in every match next season or even tom Humble as our rotational hookers, so that they gain more experience.
    :)
    Just a thought.

    He looked sharp in a few ESL games this year, would be a nice edition to the team, but i'd take Reni over him anyday
