News is Eels paid 250k to RCG to play at Titans.
I sort of read that this morning, my understanding is that RCG in not taking up his option, was a totally free agent. Why would we pay anything? This sounds like it is something the Titans leaked to make their supporters feel better about taking RCG on for 3 years.
In Sivo's case, the queston is who leaked it.....Parramatta most certainly has not....that's much more in concrete than us paying someone to take him.
I was under the impression that eels wouldn't be required to pitch in any amount, if the club had to pitch in an amount then they should have made RCG honour his contract

RCG left the Eels weeks ago. Him signing with the Titans has zero to do with the Eels. Eels have freed up RCG's full 2025 cap amount.
Wouldn't that be the Penrith subsidy amount of 250K we'd have to pay his new side since there was a remaining yr left of penriths gift? Imagine we'd have no choice, or does him moving on from us nullify the deal; not sure how it works?
Macy I'm pretty sure that Penrith deal ended the last time rcg signed a new deal with the eels.
