Ok guys, We must sell out Pirtek Stadium vs Manly this week. But that's not it. We NEED to create an intimidating atmosphere.
For example, I don't know if anyone remembers, but in round 16 I think it was at brookvale vs Roosters. They gave out manly flags to every fan. Everyone had a flag. The atmosphere was incredible. Roosters looked so intimidated, and as usual Manly won. And I believe it came down to the intimidation. Look at football(soccer) fans. Look at what they do when a team comes to their home ground on an occasion where they MUST WIN. The fans DO THEIR BIT. They do as much as they can do to help. WE NEED TO DO THIS. We need to show the players how much we care. When they walk out, I expect them to walk out to an atmosphere that makes them say "we've gotta do this for them"
I'm obviously just bringing up the idea, but I think the most likely option would be the flag option. I'm happy to listen to people's ideas and everything, but I honestly believe the people that organise The Swarm should take initiative here. Maybe even contact the club to help us out? Maybe even financially, to get some flags?
Here is a picture that perfectly explains the idea of what I'm imagining. I've used an example of what Chelsea did (hate chelsea, but it was good):
Or, we could just hand them out at the front. I honestly believe this would be fun, and it shows that we are the best fans. Just imagine, every single fan waving a blue & gold flag. Doesn't even necessarily have to be the traditional sized flags. Could be a bit smaller.
What do you guys think? Possible or not? Can we get to organizing this or am I dreaming? Surely it can not be too hard. If every football club around the world can do it, and even bloody Manly can do it, then surely we can.

Yep, great idea parraborn.
The question is WHO can do this?
I'm not exactly sure who, but I think some of them members in The Swarm have done a really good job so far, and seem organised. Maybe some of you guys have any ideas?
I'm going to use an example here with what the Western Sydney Wanderers do. I'm an active member for them, and each game(on players entrance) they do what is called a 'tifo'. Basically just something with flags, or confetti, etc. What they do on their forum site, is set up a donation fund on their forum site, and everyone puts in a few bucks, and they use that money for their 'tifo'. They also contact the club, and they are very helpful. It's the same stadium..maybe they could be helpful with us too?
yes, he does a lot. Very appreciated.
If we contact the club, and get them to help us out with this, there is no reason why they should deny us? Surely they'd like the idea
Like, they hand out them useless blow up things they bang together, that have 'pirtek' all over it. Why not have blue and gold flags with pirtek on it?
The balls in your court scott. Great suggestion.
Anything that can influence these corrupted refs and give our players a boost is warranted.
haha well if you're reading Scott, there's no reason to not help us out on this!
Hayne would fire up in a big atmosphere
LOL
I like the flag on chairs idea that way even the opposition fans get them too, lol.
hahaha would be perfect.
So I guess this isn't happening...
Sick of Rugby League crowds being crap. Everyone else doesn't seem to mind. This didn't even make top blogs, even after I asked Phil. The lack of interest in creating an intimidating atmosphere doesn't seem to matter these days.
For the past 2 years, I've bee saying "Love parra. Hate NRL." And this is getting stronger each week.
