  • that is the new pre-season comp thing isnt it? So looking forward to these games and see how the boys have gone in the new environment. Especially the likes of lomax and iongi and how they have settled in and a taste of the season maybe to come. Assume the first one will be with essentially a NSW cup side with a sprinking of 1st graders and the second will start with the big boys! so pumped for this season.

  • Playing the Tigers trial 2 and week 2 seems a bit stupid ?

    • Thanks for the news Johny, won't be long now, 35days......but who's counting

  • No panthers trial? Was an annual fixture

  • Gee I hope they're super fit this season.

    • Makes you wonder, dosnt it. Every year it feels like we read reports from people attending training sessions, stating the boys look super fit, the training has been relentless, training has been stepped up. The boys worked harder this year then last year yada yada yada. It has all come to nothing and we have looked slow, unfit and at times simple way behind the other teams.

Id like a fit team that actually applies themselves when the going gets tough in defense. I watched a clip the other day with a team scoring on us, where at least 5 of our players gave up the chase / follow back and started walking. In the end any of those 5 that had put in to get back could have stopped the try.

Fitness and mental application in defense has really looked our downfall in recent times. New coach, new players, new attitude hopefully.

      Onwards and Upwards.

      • Sideways and around

      • The good old usual suspects reporting the standard hardest pre season ever lines !

        • 100% it seems certain people on other platforms love to toe the line and don't call it as they see it. Over it!!!

      • I'm worried Blue Eel, not only their fitness but their attitude, especially the high paid players (no names)

"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"
