You gotta ask why do they need Lomax to leave before making a play for Pezet? Where is all the money gone? Some players must be making a shitload of money.
That is what i was thinking. Surely if Hands stays in France and either Matto and/or Simonsson go they would have enough for not only Pezet but another player or two even.
I think we have known for some time Pezet was Ryles' choice after Galvin. Hell if Galvin was never available this year Pezet would have been Ryles pick still.
I understand Poppa's fair skepticism that he is a Halfback mainly and would he excel at 6? Well we have to see and trust Ryles. One thing for sure is we wont need to replace Moses once his deal ends in 2029, Pezet will go straight in at 7.
Im thinking Matterson will go to 360! I also agree we want and will get Pezet regardless but I think all of our savings are going to upgrade and long term extensions for our young guns. The expansion of the league makes everyone more expensive.

Initially GC was looking at a loan for Pezet. Now they're chasing Ilias from the Dragons.
Something tells me Pezet doesn't want to be loaned out and will leave the Storm... so does that mean he will be leaving for another club? Eels??? 🤔
Titans never looked at Pezet on a loan deal. The only reason they dropped out is Pezet wanted a loan deal, in other words, he wants to go back to Melbourne, eventually. I doubt it will be any different with us, unless Ryles talks him into a long term deal. I would prefer a 6 that can attack, not just kick and defend.

They will have to upgrade Iongi substantially and maybe a few of the others who joined like an ado Carr or Jack Williams. Iongi is the main one they have to lock up before the vultures come circling
