"To play Devil's Advocate, maybe not many clubs if any have the cap space for him to offer him a decent deal.
I agree it's Melbourne only due to who they are but just saying maybe that's the reason? Unlikely I know."

"Alright alright alright, let's strap ourselves in for the ride.
Well done to the club for taking this on head on and showing we won't just roll over. This is strong leadership - makes me proud to be an Eel.

"I think this is as much a f*ck you to Vlandys as it is to Lomax and the Storm. he most likely tried to bully us in accepting a deal not in our favour.
Well done by the club!"

Understand that ZAC took legal advice in accepting Parra's non release cause.....whatever legal team he has may have said that but Parramatta has totally called their bluff.....look out legal bills Zac because you are going to need a cheque book of some magnitude to out do the fact that he you agreed under your own legal advice to accept the terms and conditions and this in turn was lodged with the NRL..... the NRL would not want to be involved and in the current situation with regards to players going to Union and as such would be very much on Parra's side.
Lomax and his management have painted gthemselves into a "corner" !!
The club has filed an enforce-agreement case in the NSW Supreme Court to have a judge confirm Parramatta’s right to block any NRL move unless the condition is honoured or varied.
In legal terms, Parramatta is asking the court to interpret and enforce the release contract — not to award damages (at least at this stage) and to confirm that Lomax cannot play elsewhere in the NRL without consent.
Sounds like Lomax was about to sign with the Storm and throw a big F U at us. That would involve the NrL backing Zac's play, which is just plain wrong for our club.
They seemed to have indicated their intentions for sure. I don't think it crossed the NRL's desk just yet. I also wouldn't be surprised if Zac's team concedes prior to the hearing in the morning to avoid costs.
Yes Mutts, spot on!
“Back in November 2025, we granted Zac Lomax’s request for a release to pursue opportunities outside the NRL on the condition that he would not return to the NRL during the period of his original playing contract with our Club, without our written consent.”
”Zac had legal representation during the negotiations of his release. Zac accepted those conditions on the basis that he told us that his interests were focused on pursuing opportunities with rugby union, particularly R360. The release documentation was registered with the NRL. The NRL are aware of the conditions associated with the release.
Watch for zac's team to play the mental health card next
Playbook 101 from this point.
You know Bluey I always smelled a rat in him leaving us, the fact that he started planning it in July confirms something must have happened.......I have been bitterly disappointed in us losing him from the time it was confirmed.....cancelling his Kangeroo Trip made no sense either.....mental health maybe a problem but stupidity doesn't qualify him!
Seriously what club would be wanting to take him at this point?
He can't legally claim mental health when he never stated mental health release. Parra has the power from here.
The nrl should pay our legal costs .lomax and storm are making a joke out of nrl system yet eels have to pay .how is an agent allowed to do this type of deal.
Did eels lodge lomax break contract with nrl
Then again we could have said no u must stay an eel
