      • MON handles player contracts, but for something like Lomax's release, it would have been signed off on by Jim and the board with legal advice sought regarding the release conditions.

        • Fair enough, but if this escalates we need someone to leak and bleat off the record. He is the one I would use.

  • In all honesty, thinking about, if he approached the club in July etc.......

He just didn't wanna come here after Arthur left. Bellamy probably sensed this and started sweet talking him into coming into Melbourne to replace Paps.

Look, I still believe anyone is that stupid to buy the R360 bullshit. Don't care how much money they offered Schifcofske would know that they don't even have a union player signed, a coach, a fucking stadium or club. It's nothing. How can the likes of Paps and Lomax, both in their prime, hinge their entire career on it?

They were the only two who took R360 bait, but I think that was a cover. Paps wanted a new challenge and seems honest with his gap year and then Perth or Union. Lomax probably saw the glories of Melbourne and then R360 a bit later. He could go play Union now, why isn't he? He'd still get decent money.

I think his legal advice just told him hey just sign this and get out and Parra won't be able to do much after you're "free". Maybe Melbourne also told hey we'd pay whatever compensation they want thinking it would be pittance.

It smells. I might going all conspiracy but I dunno. In anycase well done on the club for going nuclear with it. Even if we lose a court case let's all the shit come out at least and makes a point for us.

    • It is not outrageous conspiracy. Melbourne are sneaky cunts being sneaky cunts. NRL are duplicitous cunts being duplicitous cunts. They do it everyday

      It's happening.

    • Maybe partially true but Paps didn't express a desire to leave until very late in the season. Bellamy may have been a contributing factor too. His intensity has a limit too.

    • Lomax has been poorly advised for years, yet still has not changed management. Someone said why doesn't he sack them? Well he is gullible enough to take their advice, he is gullible enough to forgive them for their troubles.

R360 was definately the main instagator for leaving. Then got shafted by it and Clinton and then started scrambling.
