PLAYER MOVEMENT ANALYSIS

Will Hopoate
The exits of Jarryd Hayne, Willie Tonga, Ken Sio, Jacob Loko and Evander Cummins are set to create some serious backline opportunities. The big winner could be Will Hopoate, who coach Brad Arthur has publicly stated will be his fullback in 2015. Hopoate averaged 43 at centre last year, but should up that considerably at fullback. Indeed, he averaged over 60 in his debut year, where he switched between fullback and wing at the Sea Eagles.
John Folau
In terms of backline depth, SuperCoaches will be hoping John Folau - the brother of cross-code superstar Israel - gets a run at some stage in 2015. He starts at bottom dollar and has the added bonus of dual position flexibility (2RF and CTW). The losses of Hayne, Tonga, Sio and Loko are certainly pluses for Folau, although the Eels still possess backline depth - Semi Radradra, Brad Takairangi, Beau Champion, Reece Robinson, Ryan Morgan, Vai Toutai, Ben Crooks, Justin Hunt and Bureta Faraimo.
Note: The very talented Faraimo doesn’t start at bottom dollar because he played two games in 2014 at the strong average of 53.
BARGAIN BASEMENT: CHEAPIES ANALYSIS

Danny Wicks and Richie Fa’aoso
Both returning stars start in the cheapie range following time out of the game (Wicks was jailed over drugs convictions, while Fa’aoso is returning from retirement). However, the Eels have a huge amount of depth in the pack following the recruitment of Anthony Watmough, Brad Takairangi and Cody Nelson. In fact, the likes of Wicks, Fa’aoso, Peni Terepo, Lee Mossop, Pauli Pauli, Isaac De Gois and Kaysa Pritchard fail to make our predicted best 17 (above)
NEW BLOOD: HOLDEN CUP ANALYSIS
Zach Docker-Clay and Ryan Matterson
The Eels feature arguably the best halves combo in the Holden Cup. Zach Docker-Clay is a New Zealand under 20s rep, while Ryan Matterson played halfback for the Junior Kangaroos. Even so, they are unlikely to earn a first grade spot this year. Corey Norman and Chris Sandow are established halves. Luke Kelly is still at the club, while utilities Brad Takairangi and Joseph Paulo have also played plenty of halves in the top grade.
NO GO ZONE: PLAYERS TO AVOID
Anthony Watmough
The star recruit is unlikely to be a SuperCoach factor in 2015. He averaged almost 70 minutes last year, leaving little room for improvement, particularly for a player now over the age of 30 and who will need to be nursed through a gruelling rep season.
Replies
Sandow, Robinson and Hoppa should be good buys. Sandow scores solid and this year is looking fit and i think he will have a lot more responsibility now Haynes gone. And keep an eye on Kaysa, if our game plan has two hookers it doubles his chances of getting game time.
This guy still thinks Mossop is still here.lol
Yeah a bit strange. He didn't include Mossop in the price guide but then talked about him in the article.
I'd probably only have him and Peats in my squad.
