Brock Lamb signs with the Eels The Parramatta Eels Club has signed Brock Lamb on a year two-year contract until the end of the 2021 season. Playing in the halves position, Brock will be in the development squad next season and in the top 30 for 2021. Parramatta Eels Club General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Brock provides depth to an already talented roster and will ensure competition for spots in our halves remain high. Following his return from Super League, we’ve provided Brock with an opportunity to re-ignite his NRL career and we are grateful he has agreed to be part of the Eels for the coming two seasons.” Brock previously played for the Newcastle Knights and the Sydney Roosters in the NRL, and for the London Broncos in the Betfred Super League. |

I’m thinking the same thing Jeelman. If Mahoney goes down for an extended period of time we’re in trouble. If Lamb can cover hooker it will make him a very handy player.
I'm sure he'll train there, moving from the halves to dummy half is easier than the other way round, other the extra defensive responsibilities of course. It might even be the making of him, lost count of the number of average halves who moved to 9 and suddenly found their niche.
Good back up at a development squad price.
I'm happy with that. He would be on the absolute bare minimum & gives us much needed half depth.
Initially thought this was a dud move . But with some reflection it was very astute . We get a 40 game nrl player for min wage . He can cover the halves but I have a sneaky feeling this is going to be a no 9 back up . The kid is quick , kicks both feet and has footy nous. Might be a nice foil for reed ten minutes either side of the break .
Was thinking the same thning PT when I heard we were chasing him now got him
Imagine how dangerous Moses running game will be if suddenly the kicking options are across the 9 and 6 and even betters when the 14 brings speed into the ruck with a kicking game. Moses is going to run all day
That's the thing, its hard to get quality back ups for reasonable money. The advantage we have is that our spine would be probably the least expensive in the top half of the league. It gives a little extra cushion.
Back up half was a yawning gap last year, so this is a very good signing. As others have mentioned, he won't be just waiting in reserve grade, he'll be pushing for that utility spot on the bench.
Did he play for the knights?
