Brock Lamb signs with the Eels

The Parramatta Eels Club has signed Brock Lamb on a year two-year contract until the end of the 2021 season.

Playing in the halves position, Brock will be in the development squad next season and in the top 30 for 2021.

Parramatta Eels Club General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Brock provides depth to an already talented roster and will ensure competition for spots in our halves remain high. Following his return from Super League, we’ve provided Brock with an opportunity to re-ignite his NRL career and we are grateful he has agreed to be part of the Eels for the coming two seasons.”

Brock previously played for the Newcastle Knights and the Sydney Roosters in the NRL, and for the London Broncos in the Betfred Super League.

  • Very Good. Andrew Johns will sort him out and toughen him up. Brad Arthur will receive all the occolades.

  • If Mitch gets a call up to origin or Brown gets injured again hed be a handy back up option better then any other back up options we have currently

    • Being a development contracted player for 2020, he wont get to play in the NRL unless he goes on an NRL contract, meaning he cannot go back to the Development team, unless needs replace an injured player that no other player is available, after round 17 development players can be added to the main squad as the clubs have to have 36 players registered

      • Development players can play NRL after June 30. Don't need to be upgraded. NRL change that rule last year

        • Plus he can be upgraded at any time prior to June 30 if we have a spot available. I suspect the club see him as an upgrade on Will Smith

          • Too True Brett, I would also see him as an upgrade on Will, likwise we need a replacement for the younger Jennings.

    • Can he play in the top grade in 2020 if he's not listed in the top 30?

      • After June 30

  • Has he played at 9?

    • I'm sure he can handle it
