Just looking at the predicted side for NZ in 2024, with RTS back in the fold a player like Kosi or Pompey won't get a run in first grade. either player would be a good pickup.

We def need to be searching far and wide for a couple of decent outside backs that can do a job for us in NRL.
The whole culture of the club needs changing where we have our pathways players wanting to be eels and we have our players willing to take slightly less if they're treated well . Some will say it's BA bashing but I feel like the salary cap shit in 2016 (and probably now the stuff with Jake last year ) helped develop the business side mindset in him and he seems to encourage players doing what's best for themselves and hoping the club can meet them at where they want. We need these young outside backs coming though now to want to stay Eels.
Gutho has taken negotiations public , Mitch got us in a bidding war , Matto pretty much agreed to dolphins before deciding it was a bridge too far for him . Our players aren't being incentivised to look at reasons outside of money to stay at the club and that filters down to our kids. Many of them over the BA era have seen better opportunities elsewhere and wanted to stick it to Parra and that can't be good. Needs fixing with this crop coming through especially the backs.
The only player I've heard talking about how much they want to be here is Bryce Cartwright. The attitude of any other senior player is give me the right deal and we'll see what happens. Our juniors also see better opportunities elsewhere. Outside backs are a massive area of weakness for our club in terms or quality and depth. Hopefully we're identifying our kids that have attributes we need and if not are looking for it elsewhere.

I agree it's a problem. All clubs lose players so it's unrealistic to expect eveyone to stay but those which the club wants to keep, one would expect them to be keen to re-sign. But every single one of our key players has held the club to ransom and ensured they're paid top market dollar to stay. That is 100% their perogative but it does speak to the culture. However to be fair I'm not sure if it's the player's fault or the Eels R&R committee. Perhaps players are keen to stay but they are getting offered too far under market value to begin with, therefore have no choice but to play hardball? Who knows?

I wonder to this day if Norman was fair dinkum or a plant?"

"Brown has looked a superstar before in NZ games earning Man of match awards and the hype over his potential continued but he doesn't have the discipline or love the game enough to put the effort in week after week in the NRL.
Good luck to him and…"

Even if you have heard it before, do yourself a favour hahahahah.

There's only 2 places BA goes for his players . Manly and Rouse Hill.
It was Penrith for a while.
Kosi was not getting a look in regardless, Rocco Berry is the one to make way for RTS.
I think Williame looked good early in the year, would have to look at his stats from nsw cup though.
I thought they young FB who covered for CNK played well to. Bit of talent there
Ben Hampton is an easy fix
Kyle laybutt is ok to or derby

RCG also saying he wanted to go to Dolphins, similar to Paulo.
