The Parramatta Eels have today announced the re-signing of Rory O’Brien until the end of the 2017 season.
Rory joined the Eels this season and made his debut for the Club in Round 14 of this year and has played a total of nine games for the Club so far.
Head Coach Brad Arthur said that Rory’s commitment was evident from day one of preseason and that his hard work will have well placed for the 2017 season.
“Rory has made good progress right the way through this season and I am sure that we will continue to see strong improvement to his game in 2017,” Arthur said.
“The Club is increasing the depth of its squad which will only help build strong competition for places next season."
Rory is the fifth re-signing this week for the Eels following the retention of Isaac De Gois, Corey Norman, Danny Wicks and Kenny Edwards. The Club also announced the signing Siosaia Vave on Sunday.

Massive plodder with all due respect.
True but we'll probably only need him for a 20 minute burst here and there next year barring a huge injury toll. We have Mannah, Wicks, Vave, Terepo, Alvaro and possibly Brown (?) all ahead of him. He probably isn't on a whole lot and wouldn't be able to bargain for a big contract anyway so it's a good cheap, depth signing for us. If he can give us 20 minutes error free we don't need a great deal of impact, just make some tackles and give the others a rest.
Considering he was 2nd tier on very modest money I think he was value for money. Hasson was on top 25 money and he was selected in front of Hasson.
what's happened to David Gower surely he did enough when he got a go
I'd be surprised if he's on much at all.
