I'll name four..

Clinton Shifchofski, very good player, would have killed it in rugby and played for the wallabies.

Danny Crnkovich, always gave his all in a beaten team.

  • Back in the 90's they all used to carry on about Paul Harragon and Mark Carroll and their epic smash fests but Peter Johnston was more deadly than both of them put together.

I remember a match against Manly - Spud took the kick off and charged towards our line. Johnno ironed him out, turned around and jogged back into the line. Carrol was assisted from the field and not sighted again. Johnno wasn't dirty or a high shot artist - he just hit unbelievably hard.

    • Couldn't agree more Kram! Johnston used to hit like a freight train - not once or twice in a season - but once or twice in a game!

I was filthy when he left!

    • bingo kram

    • Agreed Kram - he was a favourite for us; think he had two stints with us and came back under BS. I saw him iron out Ian Roberts at Brookvale in his first stint. Roberts left the field with sore ribs...V under rated and as mentioned if he had played in those glamour teams he would be more highly spoken of.
