Eels players envious of Hayne

Wow, not a bad read. Chris Walker who became a good friend with Hayne claimed that a lot of the lads were pissed off at Hayne for his 'Princess attitude'. They were jealous because of the talent the lad oozed. Maybe he was up himself since NRL offered him bugger all and he needed to thrive somewhere else like the States. Not a bad article. Of course a lot of the players would've been jealous of JH and despited him for his skills. EGJ tweeted a few weeks back that he wished he became close to JH. I always thought he was up himself but so are the majority of the NRL players who think they're King Shit. Like I said, not a bad read.

  • "Chris Walker, former Origin and Eels star" everyone should stop reading there.

  • Who wouldn't they be jealous lol
  • This is actually a very interesting story, and hes not bagging Jarryd, hes just being honest, and he is in a position to be honest, i believe the story, its more of the same, Hindmarsh has said exactly the same, and we know there was always a split between Jarryd and a few of the older guys, especially early on when him, Krisnan and Mateo were a little team at training, they were all lazy and too cool for school, and they had the older guys pissed right off.

Has anybody noticed Jarryds body of late, lean and cut, a 6 pack for the first time in his like, hes working twice as hard behind the scenes than he was with us, hes stepped up a few gears, the NRL did bore him, so did our club, he was so over it all, and i dont think it meant to bore him, it just did, the blokes a champion and a freak, guys like Jarryd just need more, and deep down he knew he could do it, so hes doing it.

Its a pretty accurate article from what ive heard over the years.

    • Ye gotta agree snake that was a top read. A lot of thing I didn't know were revealed to me there. Thanks for posting that Monster I enjoyed that.

    • The "supplement" program is quite advanced over there + only being on the field for 30 seconds at a time explains the lean imo.

  • JH is and still is a freak. I don't blame the players of being envious of Hayne. I haven't seen a player like him for years. He's one of those 'once-in-a-lifetime' type of player, like Johns (when he wasn't on the Es) and Lewis, those men were once in a life time type of players.

  • Agree with you monster eel, once in a life time player, I will never ever forget the highlight reels of his seasons with us, including his debut season.
  • Good read no player like him maybe no one like him again.

Also, if we can get Galvin from next year, I can't see any reason why we wouldn't regardless of who his manager is.
