  • I do wonder what's the plan with Jenkins, and McLean.

Jesse McLean would be a great Addo-Carr replacement beyond 2027. But Jenkins has been playing left side too. I know he played centre before but not sure how good he was there? On paper, a left sided partnership of Jenkins plus Jesse McLean has plenty of pace and power and trickery.

But if that's true, then it means BUrton is coming as a 6. I'd rather he came as a centre, and I prefer the 6 to be a mercurial players like Lorenzo or even Volkman.

    • Perhaps Jenkins at Centre on the left? I mean a bit odd as his best footy has been on the Wing. Then you'll have a face off between Simonsson and McLean for the Wing spot.

Dint count out Bloomfield as JAC's replacement, if he doesn't leave for Union.

      • I think one of Jenkins or McLean comes. Simonsson, Penisini and Samrani and Kelly sorta have the right side sorted for 2027 at least. Unless Penisini does leave indeed.

Then you have Nanva, Addo-Carr, Jenkins and McLean I guess for the left? Or Jenkins and Burton? Or Burton and McLean? (I prefer latter combination).

        • Nanva is no FG proposition, Samrani and Kelly are fine for back ups or 3rd choices if we cannot get what we want.

They are not Chess Pieces Yehez, they need individual skills not designated shapes.

      • Reading in between the lines, I don't think EA rates Bloomfield as anything to pin your hopes on. Personally I wouldn't know, but just get that feeling?

        • Not sure where you got that from. I rate Bloomfield

    • Lorenzo is showing no signs of mercurial and whilst Volkman is a solid reserve grade backup half, the chances of him being mercurial are as far away as a Ray Price comeback!

I do not understand why you blokes insist on Burton not being our 5/8, do you understand that he is not the type of centre we need but is exactly the 5/8 we do need.....dum, dum,dum!......he will not come as a centre, rest assured.

  • If Jessie is anything like his brother then yes.....but Im sure he is the reject ...didnt we get the tago reject too lol

    • Jesse is older and made his first grade debut before Casey, obviously he isn't as good and has barely cracked first grade since his debut a couple of years ago. The panthers even preferred to bring Jenkins back from Newcastle, where he was ordinary at best, then to play Jessie.

Whilst I'm not against signing him I can't get too excited either.

      • Though even if it is a first line back-up, can do much worse.
