For some reason 2025 seems to be the year where any average player on the move gets elevated to blue chip status. No mate, it's because of social media. Everyone's a reporter there and can post any bullshit that they like. An incredible number of people then see and read these bullshit stories and it grows from there. Before social media came along, you never heard of rookies being called "guns" and they were treated like rookies because that's all they are...talented young up and comers who haven't yet proven themselves on a regular basis.
